"It was a dark and stormy night..."

Vin curled up under the blanket next to JD, both pairs of eyes opened wide as Ezra continued the spooky tale. He hid his grin as the boys continued to stare at him in awe and just a touch of fear.

When he finished entertaining them, Ezra helped the boys change out of their Halloween costumes and into pajamas. Glasses of milk were consumed, along with one cookie each, and then the two tired children were tucked into bed with a kiss to the forehead.

He really shouldn't have been surprised when two small boys later joined him in bed.
